Having to move into a smaller bedroom made me come across this platform bed. Shipping was delayed because they lost my package as well the box was torn and there was damage to the furniture. All the directions were oppsite to the holes on the frame, also missing parts so the draws do not open now. The frame it self is uneven, and sharp i had cut my self from the wood. DISPLEASED. Never will order furniture from south shore again. BEWARE WHEN PURCHASING THIS PIECE!

I was kind of bummed when I opened the box cause it looks so cheap. But you get what you pay for. Its made to be inexpensive and look nice. When this bed is all put together and your mattress and bedding is on you barely even notice it. It's inexpensive and serves its purpose. The drawers are great. We got the headboard, two nightstands and the bed and our bedroom looks nice.

Assembly for this bed is a nightmare. It took 4 hours for 3 people to put together this bed, and dont attempt by yourself because you will never get it together.
The look of this bed once you get it together is amazing! I love this bed, it looks fantastic and is very sturdy and comfortable. The drawers underneath are great storage as well because they can fit quite a bit in them.
Overall, fantastic bed - pay a handyman to put together for you

I ordered this platform bed without the headboard. And maybe because it doesn't have the headboard, it looks very plain in my bedroom. Also, I put a full size bed on it, which also doesn't look good. The product should really say it's for Queen sized mattresses. The set up was decent, although there's a portion of the instructions that are rather confusing. This is the portion regarding the slides for the bed's drawers. The instructions don't explicitly state that you must separate the metal rods/slides. Oh they are oiled with baby oil or something so watch your hands!
Also, the box in which this bed comes is HUGE, very long (about 8-9 ft) and extremely heavy (over 150 lbs). So think carefully before you buy it...it will be total bitch to return if you are so inclined.

Bed looks great, especially with headboard. Looks overwhelming when you first open box, but follow the directions and you will have no problem putting it together. Make sure you have the base where you want it before you put flat boards overtop to create platform because you will not be able to drag it across the carpet nor will you be able to pick it up by the overhanging boards.
