 Great bed but the smell... August 23, 2010

I've bought around 40 items from Amazon in the last year and this is the first time I'm actually writing a review. First of all, I love the feel of this mattress. The shipping was easy and quick. It took about a week before the mattress arrived at my place in what can only be described as looking like a giant burrito. The problem I have with the bed is the smell. I realize that any new product will have a distinct odor to it when it's first used but the smell of this bed is something else. The plastic smell was too much for me initially to be able to sleep on the bed so I put it on my balcony to air out for 3 weeks while I was away from home traveling. I returned this week from my trip and although the smell is not as intense it's still very noticeable. The smell gets worse as the mattress heats up so after about an hour of sleep, the smell is too much. I tried to sleep on the bed this week but woke up in the middle of the night with pounding headaches three days in a row. I've had enough. Since it's been about 6 weeks since my purchase, I'm not sure what my options are at this point since I can't return the mattress. If anyone has any tips on getting that smell out please let me know. Things like Febreze or any other topical solution stand no chance as the plastic smell permeates from within the mattress. Buyer be aware.

Buyer Beware!..cheap inferior mattress, mfg. in China by Rayson Global.
Per Amazon listed as a 12" Celebrity mattress, but received a Sleep On A Cloud by Delandis of China, this mattress isn't found anywhere online,
their L.A. C/S office is someones home phone.
This mattress still smells after 7 days.
Apparently Dynasty Mattress Co. is no longer in business, and was purchased by Foshan Rayson Global Co. of China,
but is still being advertised through Amazon as Dynasty Mattress Co. which apparently WAS a good mattress for the money,
Sears now sells the(China) Rayson Global line...Sears just took a step in the wrong direction.
Rayson's ( Dyanasty Mattress)..Westminster CA. office, suggested I donate their mattress, and they would provide a refund, but this still does'nt correct the problem, as this isn't a Dyansty Mattress as advertized.
I sincerely hope I have helped anyone who is thinking of purchasing this mattress..

I received this Mattress in a timely manner, for about three to four days it smelled a little due to the memory form but it has gone away now. I have been sleeping on this mattress for about a month now and I love it. Anyone with back pain should look at purchasing one of these mattress's so that you get a better nights sleep.

I have a Tempurpedic mattress and bought this for my son. I cannot tell the difference and he loves it. The smell however is a different story, I wish it would have disappeared after 2 hours but it takes far longer than that [ likely a week] and lots of Frebeze, but it is still worth it. Delivery was fast, CA to NY in 4 days. All in all a great deal.

I love the mattress very comfortable I sleep alot better than I have with a spring mattress. I do reccomend that if anyone purchases one buy some Febreeze or something to kill the oder from the mattress though it does stink. Other than that the transaction went smoothly and so did the shipping.
