This item includes the Bi-Fold Sofabed solid hardwood frame with an 8 inch thick white futon mattress.
FIVE POSITION SOFABED -
Our unique design allows you to quickly adjust the sofa's back angle to any of four positions, from upright to fully reclined. When you are ready for bed, nothing could be easier, simply drop-down the back and you have an 18 inch high platform bed. This sofabed goes from upright to reclined to bed in seconds!
THE MATTRESS -
Our futon mattress has a patented Airlay fibre-foam core which helps the futon spring back to life and retain its shape. The foam core is wrapped in a multiple layer of pure cotton batting which gives the futon a semi-firm yet natural feel. We vacuum-pack and box each futon mattress just before shipping.
ABOUT POPLAR HARDWOOD -
The Savannah sofabed frame is made of smooth, clean, unfinished poplar hardwood, not pine. Many of the pine frames on the market have a rough splintery feel. Pine averages 18% moisture content, our hardwood is kiln dried to 8%, which means it's far less likely to split or warp.
SHIPPING -
The frame and mattress are shipped via UPS ground, usually within 24-48 hours. We ship both items on the same day, unlike other sellers on Amazon who ship the frame from one location and the mattress from another -sometimes weeks later. We vacuum-pack and box each futon mattress just before shipping. Other sellers just roll and bag their mattresses which results in a higher risk of shipping damage.

it was simple to assemble, it took two of us but it was very easy, my guest loved sleeping on it, he claimed it's very confortable!

I purchased this for perhaps the most ridiculous reason one could think of. My Australian Shepperd likes to sleep on my couch as night. It ( the couch) has three seat cushions which, "Aussie" kicks completely off onto the floor in about one to two nights. I would have to remove the comforter, place the cushions back on the couch and so on almost every day. Plus the couch was so dirty I decided to junk it anyway.
Thought not stated in the sellers description, the futon mattress is a FULL size.
Assembly was easy and the instructions are very detailed and through, no guess worked involved. It took me just over 2 hours as I had to work on it by myself and discovered I had the back legs on the wrong side; so I had to fumble with that for almost an hour.
You will need a hammer and an electric screwdriver type device; a tape measurer is recommended just to make sure you are attaching the correct pieces together.
Quality is excellent. Nice thick mattress which, the mfg recommends you let it expand out for a few days before using it as it is rolled up (not folded) and vacuumed packed; which the mfg does just before shipping. So it is not all squished together for months at a time. The futon cover arrived first so I decided to enclose it around the mattress before it had fully expanded out.
I recommend this product to anyone.

I carefully compared the costs of frames and mattresses before ordering and this set is a great deal and a great bed. The mattress came rolled up and not folded in thirds like most others are, which prevents indentations or weak spots in the mattress. The wood is nice in appearance and of good quality. The futon bed itself was very easy to put together. I put it together myself in a little over an hour and a half, while watching TV. Anyone with basic skills using tools will easily be able to put this together themselves. The frame is nice and sturdy and the mattress is thick and of good quality. I'd highly recommend this futon bed to anyone.

The futon arrived quickly and was very easy to assemble. According to my teenagers, the mattress is comfortable. I recommend purchasing one of these futon to anyone considering it.

We got this as an "in a pinch" guest bed. However, we put this against the railing in our loft HUGE bedroom and it has become the bed for when one of us wants to toss and turn. It was easy to put together, many parts, just follow the steps, and it is solidly constructed. Both upright and flat out it does not rock when you get on or off it. I was actually a little surprised that it didn't rock at all climbing on or off it. We got the 8" mattress and that was a very good thing (tip: look for a cover that specifies for the thicker mattress). I had a harder time wrestling the mattress out of it's box and wraping and getting it into the cover than my husband did building the frame. We are really loving this futon. It's even wide enough to sleep on without putting out flat which is really convenient when one of us decides to move over to it in the middle of the night and doesn't want to wake the other. Being no longer a college kid, I don't think I would want this to be my ONLY bed or ONLY couch, but it sure makes a good extra in a kid's room for friends, in an extra room for guests, or for those nights you toss and turn but don't want to go sleep on the living room furniture (as this cover is removable and washable). We really are pleased with it and also with the seller who shipped everything quickly, at the same time, and well-packed.
